King Kong

I wasn't able to find a thread on King Kong (2006) through a simple search, but I suspect there is one, so please merge if I'm as much of an idiot as I think I might be.

Anyway, I thought this movie was a colossal waste of 3.5 hours. Terrible.

The worst part was I really wanted to like the movie, but I just was pissed off when I left.

Has anyone seen the original (1933)? I saw the 1976 version as a kid and liked it.
