I'd see it! Cause you know Ash would win. It's be interesting to see him and Freddy trade one-liners, hehe.
But I'd settle for being able to see Bubba Ho-Tep in the theatre.

Ash would win all the way - not because of the boom-stick, because that's probably all he needs, but because of his coolness factor. Freddy and Jason wouldn't stand a chance.

I can see the ending already...
After a huge lengthy free-for-all, Ash finishes off Jason, killing him with Freddy's blades, but before he can cherish his double-victory...Michael Myers (and/or insert another horror film character's name here) comes into the picture as the next challenger...

... and Dr. Hannibal Lecter, being the smartest of them all, orchestrated the whole thing. Once everybody is dead or badly hurt, he eats them.

Those of you who made it through Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (right) saw that the Necronomicon from the Evil Dead films was in the Voorhees house basement (as was the Crate from Creepshow.
Could they have been thinking this way back when? I think it'd be the crowning achievement of life to hear Ash trading one-liners with Freddy.

Bruce Campbell says: "Some executives at New Line are getting (excited) for that idea — which makes a lot of sense. But Ash has not been contacted to see what his franchise rate is. Funny thing is, it's actually a really cool idea, as long as there could be a satisfying end to that particular movie. There'd be no point for Ash to participate unless he could kick some major franchise ass."
And to follow that up, a reader over at AICN (Ain't It Cool News) recently overheard an interview with Campbell on a Portland radio station, and when confronted by one of the DJ's with the fact that they had recently interviewed Freddy Krueger himself, Robert England, and that he had confirmed the film was in the works, the reader reports that Campbell responded by mentioning that negotiations were underway and that the fight is over whose franchise would come out on top in the potential crossover.

All I can say is Ash better come out on top.
Or maybe two out of three do, and they kill the other one.
Can you imagine theatres with Ash standing, holding hit shotgun up in the air, with a foot on top of Freddy and Jason, both dead on the ground...
The place would be going nuts, clapping, cheering, lol.
"Hail to the King, Freddy..."

October 10: FREDDY VS. JASON VS. ASH confirmed
It’s true. FANGORIA has learned that New Line Cinema is seriously considering adding Ash (Bruce Campbell) to the inevitable FREDDY VS. JASON Round Two that the studio has in development. This is not some Internerd rumor, though the notion has been tabled out there in horror fandom for months. Sure, we’ve heard about other permutations for a follow-up to the blockbuster rumble (everything from FREDDY VS. JASON VS. LEATHERFACE to …VS. CHUCKY to …VS. MICHAEL), but the Ash scenario, evidently, is the only one that New Line is treating as a legitimate idea.

Man, that is awesome. Of course, if Ash is actually one of the losers, there will be A LOT of pissed off people!
