Let's see, Stifler? Check. Eugene Levy? Check. I'm there. (Although no Shannon Elizabeth hurts)

The trailer is hysterical.

I generally hate all comedy follow ups. Im sure there are some good ones out there, but I cant think of any right now.

Meatballs. Awesome.
Meatballs II. Sucked
Vacation. Awesome. All others. SUCKED
American Pie. Mildly amusing. Not even good enugh to see the others though, but I can imagine.

SOmeone help me out here. Are there any comedies that have equal or better follow ups?

I thought American Pie 2 was better than the first.

Jason Biggs on the trombone was priceless.

I didn't see the original untill a friend of mine encouraged me to borrow his DVD. I thought they would be really stupid and I resisted. Well, it was stupid, but I laughed really hard.

This one time, at band camp.......

I agree, it is a classic! Of course lets not mention Vegas Vacation

Also, I too agree that American Pie II was funnier than the first

Really, I thought all of the vacation sequals totally blew. Even Christmas Vacation. Not even close. Euro - sucked. Vegas - SUck-diddley-ucked.

someone name me another excellent comedy movie with a good follow up. SO far we only have conflicting opinions about the ones I posted. Caddyshack had a sequal didnt it?

Blues Brothers 2000. GAK.

Waynes World - Ruled. 2nd one SUCKED.

Austin Poweres. RULED. 2nd 2 SUCKED!

Maybe IM jaded against the sequel you guys, but I honestly feel this way about these movies. Maybe I expect something more from a sequel than re hashed jokes and situations. and a slightly tweaked plot. If I wanted the same movie, Id rent the original.

Oh yeah. Rush Hour - rocked. 2nd, Blew cheese.

Any others?

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is funnier than ****, but I don't know if that qualifies as a sequal

I think most would agree that the Austin Powers sequels were pretty dang funny.

But I have one for you: City Slickers RULED, sequel, SUCKED.

And maybe a future prediction: Dumb and Dumber RULED, sequel: WILL SUCK!

Technically this is a prequel to Dumb and Dumber.

IMO...Austin Powers has nothing but the same jokes in all of them, I only liked the 1st one after a few times watching it, then the 3rd one I saw in theaters, but fell asleep 1/3 into the movie.

Austin Powers is LAME.
