I'm waiting for the sequel.
Apparently, Alvin discovers that not only his actually from the planet Krypton, but that he is humanity's last hope for freedom against the Galactic Empire. He meets the ghost of Yoda who teaches him how to communicate with his father, Dave-Jor-El, through the savvy use of crystals and trains as a Jedi Chipmunk.
The story culminates with an epic lightsaber duel with the evil and insidious Darth Tabby!
Box office GOLD!

Funny thread.
Recently watched it. One of the worst cartoon movies of recent memory. My 8 year-old liked it though.

Bill Murray, Chevy Chase, Tim Allen and John Travolta were all offered and declined the role of Dave. Jason Lee states that he was so excited the producers offered him a role they originally offered one of his biggest influences, Bill Murray, that he did back flips.

You know it's going to be bad if even Chevy Chase turns down the role.
