A Man Apart
WOW!
This was really a damn good movie! I was quite surprised because I really had no desire to see it but left very pleased that I did.
Highly entertaining and VERY well acted by both Vin Diesel and
Lorenz Tate(underrated actor).
This movie was fast paced, had a good story line, and had great action scenes!
Check it out!

I haven't seen A Man Apart yet, but thought I would throw in a piece of info about it.
A Man Apart was actually filmed a couple of years ago...before XXX with Vin Diesel.
Just like Phone Booth with Colin Farrell was filmed before Daredevil or The Recruit.

Im curious if it was filmed so long ago what was the reason for the wait in releasing it?

Wow, in looking into it I found out that A Man Apart was actually filmed before both Knockaround Guys and XXX. There is actually a movie trailer for A Man Apart on the Knockaround Guys DVD. I'll have to check into it some more and find out why...

If it's like anything else - they were probably wanting to see if Vin had the "star" power to draw at the box office for that movie. I know that's why they waited on Knockaround Guys.
Also - A Man Apart was in a huge legal battle with Blizzard gaming company. The original title of the movie was to be "Diablo". But since that was the name of Blizzard's popular PC Game there was a little legal tiff about it. Blizzard eventually won out on that obviously.
That also probably contributed to the delay of the movie being put out late.

I recently watched this one. I thought it was pretty good. Your typical revenge flick with some decent action. Vin did a nice job, he played a different sort of character than I'm used to seeing.
