Big Trade Proposal
Someone's offering me McNabb and Engram for Manning and Randle El. Now, Peyton isn't playing well, but McNabb is injured. Don't know about the receivers (I'm looking it up in a moment). Thoughts?

Unless they offer Ladanian Tomlinson, Manning must never be traded.

IMO:
Manning > McNabb
Randal El > Engram
I don't see how this could be a good trade for you.

I understand Manning appears to be in a slump this year, but how do you trade a guy who over the last 6 years has posted 4000+ yards, 26+ TD's, including last year throwing for 49 TD's.
No way do you trade Manning. If you wanna trade I'll give you a better deal then that!

Usually, I'd agree. Usually, I'd say Manning will be fine, he's just in a slump. However, this is one prolonged slump. One more game, and it will be for 1/4 of the season. It's killing my team. Also, McNabb is the top-scoring QB in many leagues, and he'll continue to do it, as long as injury doesn't knock him out, which is a possibility. At this point, if McNabb were healthy, I'd probably do the trade without much thought. But he's not, so it makes it a very tough call. I'm not pulling the trigger yet, but I'm contemplating.
And Randle El and Engram are the same in value, so that part of the trade, to me, is a wash.

I would play it back that ultimately Manning will put out better numbers than McNabb and see if he will bump up the secondary player.
No player is untradable.

I just sent him a counter, demanding Dominick Davis instead of Engram. Granted, DD hasn't lit it up thus far, but he's played Houston and Pittsburgh. He'll get there. He started last year slow as well. So, basically, it'd be me giving Manning and Randle El for McNabb and DD. And no, you don't get return yardage, which hurts Randle El, and yes, you get a point per reception, which helps DD.

Same league, I kept Bulger as a backup, knowing I didn't want him to start, but knowing I could trade him away later and get great value for the 10th rounder I had to use to keep him. A guy just contacted me, said he wanted Bulger, and told me to look over his roster and make him an offer. He had an awful RB situation, so no dice there, but he also had an awful WR situation. Basically had Moss and Clayton (TB). So, I sinned as a Cardinal fan, and offered him this...
Bulger
Boldin
Keyshawn Johnson
for
Moss
Troy Williamson
Kurt Warner
As to Warner, well, I needed a throw-in player I didn't care about. I'll dump him and pick up a kicker for this my bye week. Thoughts?

I would much rather go that route than to trade Manning.
