I think the lack of West Coast ties probably hurts his chances to be honest.
I was going to put that caveat in - he'd be better at a Southern/Eastern P5
He's begging for the job.
Man the UA search has become a roller coaster. Sumlin, Miles, Troy HC, Sumlin and now Slick Rick.
Neuheisel was never a serious candidate.
Sumlin's problem is that he says he needs this huge assistant pool of money to take the job. But what him and his agent don't realize is that the programs that have the cash to pay for that assistant pool would never hire him.
It isn't really. Target #1 and #2 remain on the board.Guys like Neuheisel and Miles were never really serious candidates. A lot of media fodder. IMO, when you hire search firms, there tends to be calculated leaks for one reason or another.
Donnie Yantis names assistant coach and recruiting coordinator:
So who wins the stupidity contest between the ASU and U of A athletic departments with these garbage hires?
Coach @HermEdwards and the now completed ASU football staff of 10 assistants are visiting 50 high schools around the Phoenix metro area today, the first day allowed per the NCAA recruiting calendar. They'll be in Tucson next week
I don't think Ken Niumatalolo is a "garbage hire".
He has solely run the triple option for almost three decades, it's a bad hire.
I don't think Arizona has hired a head coach yet. At least not officially.
So UofA is going to run the triple option now? Wtf?
