I take a Zinc, a vitamin E & C and a Chromium Piccolinate every day. Along with my Aminos for working out. I want to start taking Saw Palmetto for the ol prostate health.

You're reducing your chances of getting prostate cancer tremendously. However, you're destroying your liver.

(I promise I won't get on my soapbox).

Hmm... How much does one of these "livers" you speak of cost to replace?

I am sure you are also receiving the strength of 10 men and the ability to see into the future.

Not sure about replacement, but my husband's 4 day hospital stay in which they tried like heck to keep him alive & reverse the 'shutting down' of said organ ran us around $4,000. (with insurance)...I recommend against that route ;)

They were successful, btw--liver's doing just fine now.

I'm no doctor but couldn't you just take 1 and a half pill and save yourself the trouble of taking 3 halves?

I could, but then the dosage is too lumped in one time period. Taking 3 halves gives me a slow, steady dosage lasting about 15 hours instead of just 10. My awake time is longer than 10 hours. Plus, taking 1 whole tablet is TOO much of a dose leaving me feeling weird, and lasts for roughly 5 hours. Taking half a tablet is the perfect amount and also lasts for roughly 5 hours.

I understand now.... too bad they couldn't come out with an extended release tablet like they did with Welbutrin

I actually have tried the extended release Ritalin. It only lasted me about 7 hours. I also didn't like the roller coaster feel I had while on the ext. release tabs. While on it, it felt like my symptoms went through highs and lows much more than with the dosage and type I currently am taking. With the 3 half tabs taken every 5 hours, I don't have the roller coaster effect and I don't have the "crash" feeling until the last one wears off. But I am considering talking to my dr at my next visit about trying out Adderall XR (1 pill, supposed to last up to 12 hours). But I am leery about switching when what I'm currently taking is actually WORKING, it's just a pain to remember to take it 3 times a day.
