Was finally done at 5:30. BLEH.
The exact same thing happened to me. Wasn't called back until over an hour had passed from my appt time. They knew I was pissed when they took me back. They kept apologizing. It was at Marquis on Pecos & Gilbertish rd.
Maybe I can put this in perspective.
I spent 6 hours on the road and waited 3 hours for my wife to see a doctor for a follow-up appointment that lasted 5 minutes.
Yeah, that helps. I wouldn't have been so grouchy about it except I had to start my shift at work after (normally start at 2pm...didn't get home until 5:45). So...didn't get off work until almost 2am, and that was just because I took no lunch.
Whine, whine, whine, lol.
It's funny the older I get the more I complain.
Starving kid in Africa: "What's a MRI?"
(just messing with you, I complain when that happens to me too)
I've had Amazon Prime for just a few months. Mostly for deliveries... I haven't bothered to find out about books, movies.. etc.
I'm delighted to find out that they're raising their price by 20%!!! I'm sorry I've brought this curse to those of you who subscribe to this.. but it was inevitable, since I joined.. we all get screwed!!
Reactionary leaders. And being given half-way instructions on things. Help me do my job. Help me help you! Help ME help YOU! #jerrymaguire
Today was my birthday. And, for the second year in a row, not one person in my office acknowledged it.
Normally, I wouldn't really care. Yes, I have always worked in settings where birthdays were celebrated and a cause for fun and cake and smiles. But not in this setting. And it's okay. I mean, it's work, not family and friends. I didn't care last year when no one said anything.
The difference this year? At the very end of January, one of my coworkers gave me a folder and asked if I wanted to sign some birthday cards for people having birthdays the next month (meaning February). I signed them all (and genuinely like all those people). There was no card in there for me. I was thinking they were just being slick and removed the card since it was routed into my office.
Um, no, lol. Trying not to take it personal. Did I mention that my boss was the one who started the whole card thing?
Bummer <Happy Birthday !!> JG.
That <Happy Birthday !!> does suck.
Hopefully <Happy Birthday> they figure it out one <Happy Birthday !!> of these years.
I’m sorry that happened to you, JG. It’s the little things that matter sometimes and it’s always nice to be acknowledged. I would have been miffed, too if I was in your place.
Happy Birthday, from your ASFN fam.
Thanks, BIM and 32! The funny thing is they have this whole initiative about recognizing people and whatnot.
I think next year I might just bring my own cake and let everyone know it's my birthday. Or maybe I'll do that tomorrow. Or next Tuesday. After all, no one will know I'm beig untruthful, lol!
Happy Birthday Jersey Girl!
You deserve it.
I never worked in an office that did not celebrate Birthdays.
Have an extra piece of cake.
