I know this has been touched upon in other threads, but this really needs its own thread.

Rachel Maddow is connecting sooooooooo many dots lately it is RIDICULOUS. If you missed last night and yesterday night on the Russian stuff, you have a responsibility as a citizen to go on MSNBC.com and WATCH IT. http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show. Seriously

The detailed quid pro quos she is documenting are astounding. Each corroborate the main thrust of Christopher Steele's "dossier" that the Trump Campaign was working hand in hand with the Russians to help Trump get elected. Put aside the issue of whether it was the deciding factor, who cares. What matters is the collusion.

Just off the top of my head, here are some of the benefits the Russians have received so far:

    1. Removal of the pro-Ukraine plank from the GOP Platform at the convention. It said we were going to arm Ukraine. It was removed. Trump and Mannaford denied any involvement. But now a member of the GOP is now on record stating that he had it removed at Trump's request.

    2. Dismantling of the U.S. State Department. This Dept. has been the main voice over the years in speaking out on issues of human rights, including many offenses by the Putin regime. Its institutional memory is being removed, career diplomats who have served our country for decades are being removed, laid off in droves. Tillertson is nothing but a figurehead. He's not even answering media questions.

    3. No broadcast of the annual human rights report. Just released on paper with no fanfare. This is a huge deal.

She is making a hell of a case as more and more details of the dossier are being corroborated.

I really think the tide has turned against Trump on this. Christopher Steele has now surfaced and is alive and well. He must have confidence in his own safety and in the outcome on this. There seems to be hope now that all of this, all of the details will come to see the light of day.

Trump himself met with the Russian Ambassador last April.

After which he gave a pro-Russian speech, then the Russians hacked the DNC server.

Now, now, now, Jon. That's all just coincidence...... ;)

And BTW, Drumpf has denied meeting with any Russian numerous times....

Didn't he also deny any such meeting?

The denials are crazy. They answer questions on the record or when that their responses are being recorded by the media, and they deny meeting with the Russians. Media then does homework and finds out the statements are false. Unbelievable.

I'm a Johnny come lately to Rachel but I've watched a couple of these shows on Russia. One that I found interesting was a mansion Trump bought in Florida for $60 million that he turned around and sold to the Russian fertilizer King for $100 million. Neither one of them even saw the property... It ended up being a teardown. $100 mil for a teardown!,

Just too much going on here for it to be nothing. Not sure we ever get the truth as Trump and his minions will do everything they can to not let it happen.

Follow the money. Trump nearly went belly up financially.

Hopefully they will try everything possible. Nixon and his cohorts tried everything possible. That's called obstruction of justice and it's an impeachable offense.

It was also interesting how for some strange reason the Russian fertilizer king kept flying to the locations where Donald Trump just so happened be campaigning at the time. https://www.palmerreport.com/news/d...rump-owns-russian-money-laundering-bank/1692/

    From Rachel Maddow last night.

    1. Foreign policy adviser to Trump Campaign Carter Page traveled to Russia in July of 2016 with full knowledge and approval of campaign officials;http://www.politico.com/story/2017/03/carter-page-russia-trip-trump-corey-lewandowski-235784
    http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/09/the-mystery-of-trumps-man-in-moscow-214283;

    2. One week later, Trump campaign successfully gets the RNC to drop the platform plank on arming Ukraine which would have helped them defend against Russian aggression; http://www.businessinsider.com/jd-gordon-trump-adviser-ukraine-rnc-2017-3

    3. "U.S. and Ukrainian authorities have expressed interest in the activities of a Kiev-based operative [Konstantin Kilimnik] with suspected ties to Russian intelligence who consulted regularly with Paul Manafort last year while Manafort was running Donald Trump’s presidential campaign." http://www.politico.com/story/2017/03/trump-russia-manafort-235850 This includes his visit to the U.S. during the RNC. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/08/paul-manafort-ukraine-kiev-russia-konstantin-kilimnik-227181

    4. The day after the RNC ended, the day before the DNC the first Wikileaks document dump occurred. Through the selectively released documents, his forced the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Shultz. It also ensured that the rift between the Sanders wing and the Clinton wing of the part would be fractured.

    5. Later, on August 21, 2016, long time Trump adviser Roger Stone somehow was able to forshadow the next Wilikeaks dump on his twitter page "writing on Twitter: “Trust me, it will soon the Podesta’s time in the barrel.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/mar/05/roger-stone-trump-adviser-julian-assange

    6. Sure enough, in early October 2016, the next Wikileaks release occurs damaging the Clinton campaign with communications from Campaign Chairman John Podesta. http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/john-podesta-russian-hacking-229319

    7. In another remarkable coincidence, are impeccable timing by the Russians, this second Wikileaks dump occurred ONE HOUR after the release of Trump's "GRAB EM BY THE PU**Y..." Access Hollywood tape.

    8. The Podesta emails continued to be released until the election. At one point, Russian State Television tweeted about the 6th release of Podesta emails from Wikileaks, even before Wikileaks released them. They even wrote a story about it before the release even happened. http://americablog.com/2016/10/russia-scoops-wikileaks-new-podesta-emails-things-make-go-hmm.html

    9. AND THEN, on March 8, 2017, a massive release, again by Wikileaks, of CIA secrets on how they hack countless electronic devices, ie. the entire arsenal of US Cyberwarfare tools.

    10. On March 9, 2017, Nigel Farage, the UK Brexit leader, who also campaigned for Trump, and has met with Trump several times, meets with Wikilikes' Juliane Assange at Ecuador's embassy in London.

It appears that Russia is very active in trying to bring down Western democracies. It not only interfered with the US election, but with the Dutch elections, https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/16/world/europe/russia-ukraine-fake-news-dutch-vote.html, and is currently doing so with the elections in France. http://news.sky.com/story/is-russia...-of-emmanuel-macrons-aides-claims-so-10790024.

Our executive branch is not speaking out about it, they are part of the problem. They got into office with the help of Russia. They will let Russia continue to alter the outcome of European elections. If this continues, look for the EU and NATO to fall by the wayside and Putin to continue to agressively seek his goal of reuniting the former USSR.

This isn't over. We are still in the middle of this. Sigh.
