Return of the Mooch!
wow! That wins the bad photoshop award
DOJ official would rather work at Walmart... lmao
I'm quoting myself to say than upon further review this has the potential to be no laughing matter. Being next in line behind Rosenstein, should he be fired, would put her in the position of having to fire Mueller. That would now fall to Noel Fransisco.
"Extreme Vetting" was just another projection.
I get that people being afraid of the stink from being part of this administration but if they don’t have the courage to stay and fight for the country, we are TRULY screwed because no one who Trump puts in their place will.
Hell, I'd rather work at Wal-Mart as General Counsel. Talk about a cush job.
What's really concerning is the exodus we're seeing across all echelons in many government agencies. Government agencies depend on good people not only to carry out the mission, but also to prevent abuses. And what you're seeing is people fleeing Justice and State (and other agencies) because they're no longer valued.
In the short run, this will hurt many vital institutions we depend on. But in the long run, it will cause a shortage of leadership. It's the equivalent to the military losing sergeants and captains; right now, that's not too be a deal. But if you lose enough of them, you lose your sergeant majors and generals in the future. That means the military can't carry out its mission 10 years down the road.
It's the same here. And it's absolutely concerning. It's a further weakening of our democratic institutions. And the crisis won't come under Trump; it will come under a future president.
It's actually making me upset, how are they protecting us from zealots by quitting? It's counterintuitive. Their acquiescence is accelerating the takeover they fear.
