I know people not getting excited about Munchak but reading Jurecky tweets, he looks like a strong candidate
Seems like our organization wants to be always connected to steelers coaches

I like the Bettcher option. I'm really high on McCoy and having Pagano is icing on the cake.

I’m just not getting all the McCoy love. He’s one of those coaches who will always choose to punt, even when his offense is on the other team’s side of the field. I’d be very bummed if the Cards bring him on staff.

    Well...that's a good sign.
Rod Graves would have took a month off, then started trying to get phone numbers for candidates. :p

And he would have dialed 411 from his rotary phone, to get those numbers.

Really interesting article, but it paints him as an extremely meticulous technician - the perfect assistant coach. But there is no suggestion that Patricia would be good at leading, motivating, delegating, etc. It would be great for the Cardinals to end up with an assistant on each side of the ball with the attention to detail and gift for finding patterns that Patricia has, but i am in no way sold on him as a potential HC, based on that glowing article.

What I don't get is why is Bettcher getting a chance to interview for the HC job and not Goodwin?

This sounds like the Jedi version of what ASU is doing to its football program.

I'm ok with a veteran HC being hired. I saw the average tenure for HC these days is 3.2 years. I attribute that to hiring, and missing, with all these young, first time hot shot assistants that either aren't ready or just overmatched. McCoy, Chip Kelly(college), McAdoo, the turnstile in Cleveland, Joe Philbin, Gus Bradley, Jim Tomasula, Dennis Allen, Marc Trestman, Singletary, etc.

I'm also not in favor of the old retread like a John Fox or Fisher. I guess I prefer a guy who was given a shot, didn't work out for whatever reason, but has learned, gone on to success in another organization(s) and knows what he's in for this time around. The guys who the Cards are said to be interested in and fit that category are Shurmur, McDaniels, Munchak. I would throw Haley in that group but the Cards don't seem to have any interest.
