I hope the Suns can keep Len for the right price. They have invested a lot of time and effort to develop him.

If the Suns should trade for second round picks (for whatever player) I hope they are down the road.

This is from realgm.com. These are in addition to our own secon rounder.

2018 second round draft pick from Memphis, Charlotte or Miami (second most favorable)
Memphis will receive the most favorable of its 2018 2nd round pick, Charlotte's 2018 2nd round pick and Miami's 2018 2nd round pick and Phoenix will receive the second most favorable and Houston will receive the least favorable of these three picks (via Memphis) [Charlotte-Memphis-Miami, 2/16/2016; Houston-Memphis, 6/22/2017; Memphis-Phoenix, 9/22/2017]

2018 second round draft pick from Milwaukee
Milwaukee's 2018 2nd round pick to Phoenix protected for selections 31-47 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Milwaukee's obligation to Phoenix will be extinguished) [Milwaukee-Phoenix, 11/7/2017]

2018 second round draft pick from Toronto
    Toronto's 2018 2nd round pick to Phoenix [Phoenix-Toronto, 2/23/2017]

Phoenix is under the cap by $8.8M after the Mike James waiver. Phoenix will have a $88K cap hit on James. Isaiah Canaan signed to the hardship exception on Dec. 13 has a non-guaranteed salary of of $998K that becomes guaranteed in Jan. 7.

So there is still a chance the Suns can sign Kay Felder if Canaan doesn't work out. :D

First brothers then midgets. We always have to have a gimmick.

I do have an affinity for the underdog.

However, I do think Felder has an opportunity to stick with a NBA team given more time.

Maybe this summer we will give him a look. ;)

Kendall Marshall is available, if the Suns want to kick the tires and see if he's learned to shoot yet. He could distribute the ball well from what I remember. He didn't have the foot speed to stay in front of anyone on defense and couldn't shoot to save his life from more than 12 feet from the basket though.

I saw Tyler Ennis signed a 2 year deal with the Lakers this offseason. He's one former Sun that I wouldn't mind getting another look at. I don't think they should have thrown him into the trade for Knight but the Suns thought they'd be set at the PG position with that acquisition. He hasn't done anything great in the NBA but he's looked like a competent backup when given minutes. Ulis looked the same last year as well but something happened with him, he's not the same player he was last year when given the opportunity to start.

We already know he is not in our future plans. Its a waste of time.

The comments section on FB of the news regarding James’ release are funny yet frustrating.

I think I will pass on Marshall and Ennis. They do not have the speed and athleticism I'd like.

Former Suns PG Ish Smith is the type player I 'm looking for off the bench. That's why I jokingly mentioned Felder. I think he may eventually turn into the type PG that can really change tempo.

You are right. Ulis does not look the same as last season. He lacks confidence.

James' attitude cost him his job. They could have kept him a little longer but they cut him when they did for a reason. I don't fault them at all, it was the right move, but I miss McD's honesty in this situation. If James did something to make him mad he'd be bad mouthing him to the press right now in hopes it keeps him from signing elsewhere. I think his play style and attitude will keep him from signing elsewhere on their own.
