I disagree about the trades, but I do agree with your post overall.

Lol... Where is your evidence that he isn’t one of the worst GMs? I actually have two failed head coaches, one of the worst winning percentages over his tenure, multiple atrocious trades and the general belief around the league that not only are we a joke, but our FO is bush league airing dirty laundry and acted like punks multiple times when our latest star takes a flame-thrower to the organization. That’s evidence to back up my point.

You have what? He’s drafted Booker and Warren. That’s literally it. Phil Jackson drafted Porzingis. That didn’t keep him from being an awful GM.. which EVERYONE here ridiculed him as, for good reason.

Literally by every other measurable metric he’s been an abject failure.

He has had some decent trades and some not so good ones. Most of the bad trades happened on the same day. IT to Boston and BK.

The Dragic, Markieff, and original Bledsoe trades were good ones. So was the Scola to the Pacers trade. The trade that bought IT here was a good one too (although that was really more of a FA signing). The Daniels trade last summer was under the radar, but any time you get a contributing player and a pick for taking him, you have to consider that decent.

The Bledsoe to Milwaukee trade was probably the best we could do given the circumstances. In the end it give us $17 million in cap space so whoever we sign with that space should be considered part of the trade.

Even the best teams drafting seem to hit less than 50%. People look at the golden days of the Sun under Perc as our head scout, and we still drafted a lot of duds. Armen Gilliam, Jarrod Mustaf, etc.

We used to hit a lot more late home runs with Finley, person, dumas, ceballos, horny, Ollie Miller, etc).

I'm trying really hard to understand you Stef.

You don't think he's done well in trades... think he needs a new scouting department for the draft (i think that was you) and think his coaching hires have been bad.

And yet, you want to keep him for continuity sake.

edit: my bad... you think he's made "reasonable" picks... none of which outside Booker/Warren have shown much at this point.

I think there is a bit of "Grass is always greener" thing going on here. Beuffords and Prestis don't grow on trees. I don't think McD has been great, but things could be a lot worse. I just don't know who you think the Suns can hire that will turn things around overnight.

I miss those days. Always knew JC was going to make the right moves. And the Suns were a destination for free agents.

Eddie Johnson is 100 % right that good teams execute.

Also it is work passing the ball into the low post.

    The Suns do neither.

It looked like Jackson did a double clutch on that missed 3 point shot.

Suns lead 26-22 after the 1st quarter.
