I can't stand the thought of a PK getting drafted before the 5th rd and then they have to be considered generational. Trading up in the 2nd rd for a PK is simply idiotic.

    Didn't look too hot yesterday.
    Ross Tucker @RossTuckerNFL

Roberto Aguayo is pretty much guaranteeing that no kicker will be taken in the first few rounds for a long time.

There are no words to describe just how dumb that decision was. Whoever made the decision to draft a kicker that high should be banished to North Korea.

Wouldn't rule out an Aguayo rebound. Mike Nugent had a rough time as a 2nd-round pick with the Jets. Ended up being solid for Bengals after.

None other than the GM, former Cards exec Jason Licht. Sounds like we should be very glad he's not in our front office any more.

I remember right after he was drafted, one of the local mouths was going off on the radio, pointing out that his college stats were nails inside 40 yards (duh), but outside of 40, he was actually sub-par. How the hell does a GM miss that little detail and blow a #2 on the guy? The average ASF blow-hard on a 3-day Mickey's Big Mouth binge would have known better.

Veteran K Nick Folk was brought in as competition against Aguayo and beat him out.

Aguayo was taken 59th overall in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was the highest-picked kicker since Mike Nugent was 47th overall in 2005.

Does that count drafting a kicker in the 1st round in 1978?

Not only did they draft a FG kicker in the 2nd rd but they traded up to get him. Like some other team was going to take him before them. Stupid decision with a side of moron.

As the cardinals play the raiders tonight Sebastian Janokowski enters his 18th year and is the Raiders all time leading scorer.

Hope he gets his mind right and gets on track. Seems like a good kid
