I was watching the game off and on while putting away Christmas decorations.

I was wondering why he wasn't in at the end of the game. I thought he might have reinjured himself. Good to hear.

I thought for sure it was going to be offinsive basket interfere and OT without Booker.

I was worried about offensive basket interference as well

Listening to Booker after the game it looks like all went as planned.

Apparently the play was perfectly legal and Triano called it. I think the key, Chandler touched the ball before it went through the basket and it could be touched over the cylinder in this situation.

I'm beginning to like this Triano guy. :)

That's a part of it. It also couldn't be interference because the player throwing the ball in can't shoot it.

Really smart play design and execution

Here is more about Triano's secret weapon.

Booker was like (laughing) leave it to Triano come up with something like this. Apparently they had talked about in practice.

Have to repeat the comment from Triano from the link above.

    Deep thought.

This is certainly a new one on me and a lot of people.

Eddie Johnson knew it was coming. Why? Because Barkley did the same thing in Portland in 92 or 93. I don't remember who the inbounder was, maybe Ainge. I think it was a tip-in rather than a dunk.

Oliver Miller was the inbounder. That one was different than this in that it was designed to bounce the pass off of the backboard first, then be tipped.

This play was designed to basically be a shot, just touched before it goes in. The execution on the inbound was the real skill on this play.

It was quite amazing when you understand that it was executed by a player with very little basketball skill who does not know when to jump. (Sarcasm alert)

Here is the video replay. The pass was thrown off the backboard by Oliver Miller which Barkley put in the basket.

Also Barkley narrates the same play in detail.

You certainly have a heightened sense of what a 20-year-old body that is that size should be able to do.
