I have only just seen this.

Awful awful news, he was good for this board and sure as hell sounds like a great guy to have spent time with too.

Great to see this place rally around at a time like this, and the banner etc are great touches. I guess thats why he fitted in so well on here.

    RIP

It's a real shame to loose a person like this as such a young age. Condolences to his family. You will be missed DJ.

Suuuuuuucks. His takes on the Cardinals woes were always coated with dry humor. Really liked reading his posts.

    Rest in peace Duckjake.

Someone may have already suggested somehow sending them a line but his family might appreciate knowing that there is an entire community, unknown to them, mourning too.

    Moderator,

Any chance of making this thread a sticky? At least until the 12/21 game?

    Thanks,
    MadJack.

Very sad news. Seemed like even through challenges kept his love of life, family and friends. While not overly active here, I'll miss his perspective and style.

Beautifully said, Jeff. Love the Meditation 17 (John Donne) quote, pal! Says it all, doesn't it?

My condolences to his family. Seems as if we lost a close friend when you stop and think about how much this board has become apart of our lives.

Yeah, I only met him in person a couple of times yet still feel like I lost someone who was a real friend. I logon and read this site every single day, and have since Skkorp started it. It truly is a family.

Love all of you guys. Sorry if it seems like I don't sometimes.

    Rest in peace Steve

It was impossible to miss a poster with a unique screen name like DuckJake, and his board contributions were always enjoyable to read. Very sad to hear he lost a son at age 18, and now is also gone much too soon. The banner is a nice touch. Hopefully the Cardinals can finally put an eternal smile on Steve's face as he watches from above.

Hopefully his family is hanging in there during this difficult time.

    Holy crap.

I missed this because I have been busy moving into a home we just purchased.

I found it because of the thread calling for our defense to be named in his honor.

My condolences to his family and all of his legion of friends.

I only knew him through here, but I always saw a wry smile behind his posts, and his obituary picture simply confirmed that for me.

    R.I.P.
