Right on, RedRob. As a reminder, my banner tribute to Duckjake will be done for the 12/21 Seattle game - not the next 12/7 Chiefs game.

Also, to temper expectations, please understand that the primary banner message will, as always, be game related. However, in the area above will be something like: "RIP, DUCKJAKE. 1950-2014." Cool?

I invite all of you to stop by my tailgate that day for banner viewing. If not, I see that many of you meet at halftime just outside the north entrance doors? Would be great to meet some of you there that day.

    Thanks,
    MadJack.

You are the man Jack, I am sure it will mean a great deal to his family.

The halftime meetup is just behind section 121 by the escalators.

I'll come by to see the banner and meet you and take pictures. The tailgate I go to is on the great lawn near yours.

Yes, 12/21 and RIP Duckjake. 1950-2014 would be awesome.

Hopefully, we'll have something great to say on the primary banner, such as "These are OUR lockers." Or, Playoffless in Seattle:)

I don't get by here as often as I once did, but even I noticed that we hadn't heard from DJ in a while. As a fellow believer in the Power of the Jinx, I just assumed that he, like myself, was convinced that for the past ten years it was our posting on ASFN that had led to so may 5-11 seasons.

    :stick:

Sigh - if only that were the case.

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting the man - yet, like Skkorp, you didn't need to actually meet the gentleman to know the measure of the man. He, like our other friends who left us way too early, will be sorely missed.

"All mankind is of one author, and is one volume; when one man dies, one chapter is not torn out of the book, but translated into a better language; and every chapter must be so translated...As therefore the bell that rings to a sermon, calls not upon the preacher only, but upon the congregation to come: so this bell calls us all: but how much more me, who am brought so near the door by this sickness....No man is an island, entire of itself...any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

    Jeff
