I'd throw McCown in that list too. But he's old, probably only one year, and IF he comes back, it's likely with Jets.

I wouldn't mind Cousins, but he wants a ton, and he's not great. I think you can have 85-90 percent of a Cousins season with any of the five guys.

There's not much out there. But Daniels always impressed me when I see him play, usually preseason (so it's preseason).

I guess Keenum and Daniels would be who I hope for. Cousins if we want to make a splash.

Cutler/Moore if we're desperate. Hell if we're in desperation mode, throw in Fitzpatrick as well.

get Shurmur And maybe hè can sway Keemun to come with him. You can bet any HC candidate will be asked ‘who do you want as your QB? Come to think of it any HC candidate will be asking the same thing!

Cousins will get you the stats, but not the W's. His agent has a ton of statistical ammunition to get top ~5 QB pay, but your team will not be in the top 5 with him at the helm.

Easy, acquire Bridgewater on the cheap who actually might end up surviving the injury and be more than a stop gap. I would draft the best QB I could in the draft, sign Bridgewater and yes... give freaking Stanton the perpetual backup guy a contract lol

Sign Bridgewater to a 2 year deal. Sign Gabbert and draft a QB and sign another UDFA QB who has some potential to develop. If Bridgewater has trouble coming back and has to PUP then you could survive with Gabbert and a drafted QB and have a 3rd QB learning the system while holding the clipboard .Then when Bridgewater is healthy you can make what moves are necessary.

I know he is back but I don't know if he is 100% back.He got a few snaps in a real game a couple weeks ago and I am sure he was rusty. When healthy he is a solid good QB.

They wouldn’t risk his entire future to rush him back as a backup. I think he is 100% physically healthy. He is probably rusty but an entire offseason should fix that. I think he is the best option available outside of cousins. He is better than any QB in the draft.

AJ McCarron if he wins his grievance against the nfl which I think he does.

Imo he’s very similar to Jimmy G & probably throws a better deep ball

Start him for 1-2 years until our rook is ready to ball.

Because he is a solid QB.He is young (25) and he has played well before his injury. He is a hard working not flashy solid QB who is not a turnover machine and he has good enough arm to make the throws.Plus he is a high character kid with a great work ethic.I watched at Louisville and watched as many Viking games as i could. He is just a solid good QB.He is not going to be a gunslinger type QB who forces passes. He will take what`s given and work down the field.
Too many people think flashy gaudy stats make a good QB but the wins and losses mean the most.
Bridgewater is my choice. Then bring back Gabbert.Draft a QBOF and sign another UDFA QB to develop also.

While not a free agent QB, Ian Rapoport on NFL Network just said that the Chiefs will entertain trade offers for Alex Smith this offseason.

well...he was actually a turnover machine in Minne... but his history shows it isnt inherent...he can be coached out of it.
28 TD's and 21 INT's in his two years starting in Minne..

12 his first year, 9 his second year...so it aint a huge issue just not real favorable compared to his TD's.
but his 65% completions is hard to argue with
