    Thanks for trying, Tony. He was a great field manager. I was surprised that he stuck around and became a hanger-on. I wonder if there was a reason other than money.

    I believe he is good friends with Dombrowski so it makes sense.

    And, since he has left Arizona, he will probably somehow get the Red Sox a world series.:confused:

    Until this year with Tony taking a back seat, our last previous playoff appearance was 2011, three years before his arrival.
