    That doesn't mean the tesla is leaving the rocket and will just be floating around in space, does it?

    I'm assuming the rocket is in orbit and the car is inside the rocket.

    It shows how it is supposed to work if everything goes to plan. The Tesla will be flying around the sun in orbit.

    Looks like 1:45pm Arizona time is the current launch time.
