    President Donald J. Trump?

Still feels like we are living in an alternate reality where someone pondered "What if we elected a reality show personality as our President?" and it came into being.

Going forward, regardless of how Trump does in office, I can see a voting public which would prefer/select a Mark Cuban or Dwayne Johnson over perennial political candidates.

The message will be stated and restated this day: For the 58th time, the system has worked, and power has smoothly transferred from one heir of George Washington to another. The truth is not so happy. With full advance notice, and despite the failure to gain a plurality of the nation’s vote, the United States will soon inaugurate someone who owes his office in some large part to a hostile foreign intelligence operation. Who is, above and beyond that, a person whose character that leaves him unqualified to hold the presidency, and threatens the country with an impending sequence of financial and espionage scandals—a constitutional crisis on two legs.

The real message of today is that the system has failed. The challenge of the morrow is to know what to do to save the remainder.

I thought the reaction to this is very telling:

CNN under fire for 'designated survivor' report ahead of Trump inauguration

    https://www.aol.com/article/news/20...ed-survivor-report-ahead-of-trump-i/21659226/

So in North Korea, any critical comment about that fat 10 year old leader Kim Jong-Un is determined to be terrorism, and undermining the fabric of society and inciting chaos and thus you need to be arrested and tortured and executed.

That is EXACTLY what I see going on here. Apparently discussing the line of succession is short hand for "we're gonna whack him". OR maybe its just freedom of speech and you are discussing the LOS because the incoming president has "impeach" draped all over him, and the LOS is pretty darn relevant.

With this sort of precedent, they can move onto things like "this group of people is peacefully protesting......but that could lead to violence and terrorism! arrest and torture them!".

We already seen it with how Trump is with the media. This network should be banned, this reporter should be fired, etc.

Politics has really changed. I still have trouble keeping a straight face when I see Al Franken in the senate. I keep waiting for him to break out into his Stuart Smalley character..

Not unprecedented. Arnold and Jesse as governors. Ronnie as Governor and President.

Actually it shows I take a stance that dealing drugs isn't a minor crime.

No one said it was a minor crime however, people should not spend ten years in prison over it. This is a subject I have a DEEP understanding of and typically when people say something like that, it just shows you dont know much about the sentences and etc.

You do realize that a drug dealer typically has a longer prison sentence than a rapist right?
