I've posted previously that my personal favorite Mercury player is DeWanna Bonner. I am happy for her giving birth, but I sure wish she had been on the playoff team.

Diana Taurasi is an all-time superstar. Brittney Griner is a superstar, although she should be more Wilt Chamberlain-ish with her 6'9" height in the WNBA. But DeWanna is the difference maker.

Whether starting or coming off the bench, she is OK with being a role player until the need for her to step up.

DB makes a difference and I missed her this season. Who knows how many more seasons DT will play? DeWanna is just 30.

I look forward to the 2018 Mercury with DT, BG . . . and DB . . . leading the way.

I hope DB is on our team next season. I know that her and Candace Dupree want to be on the same team or at least near each other due to the babies. i believe she's under contract but who knows if they will really push the issue of being on the same team.

'Good to hear that DeWanna is back in the swing. More than her stats on a regular basis, it is her ability to step up and cover for a key person (except for Brittney on defense), including Diana, when needed.

What a talented player. Ready to step up for the Mercury whenever a key player is out.

It is why I included her as well as Brittney, just a minute ago, in the thread about Diana no longer playing for Russia and conserving her strength for the Mercury.

These next few seasons will be the last hurrah for the Mercury before they have to rebuild.
