Not a fan of the director and not a fan of the cliche, but that didn't look TOO bad. A few John McLaine moments in there.

that's my issue... Death Wish shouldn't be John McClaine-esque, IMO. The best thing about Death Wish was Bronson was just your regular joe... who literally went out hoping people would attack him so he could kill. This just looks lame... against the spirit of what made the original so gritty and dark.

I think it would have been perfectly fine if they didn't brand it "Death Wish". People would make parallels, but it wouldn't have to be compared overtly to the earlier movie. IMO of course.

saw the previews and instantly fell in love with it.... usually not a fan of remakes but this series could use a bit of modernizing.... just as they did with "The Mechanic" and Statham

Gee, another remake from creative Hollywood. And if that trailer is real, it completely misses the point of the original.

    Looks like surgeon.

It's Eli Roth. That should be enough to scream, "STAY AWAY!"

This starts this week. I know a lot of you guys are haters but I am looking forward to it. Loved Bronson,... but I watched DW III a few weeks back and the movie is terribly dated... as long as it is done well an update is a good thing.

I am normally not a fan of reboots...

but it aint like its the backstreet boys remaking Yellow Submarine or anything.

I just think it’ll be a neutered version of the original.

Looks like a moviepass Movie, if anything for me.

it doesnt really matter how good or bad it is. There will always be the taint of John McClain on this version...Willis would have to give an oscar worthy performance to change that.

But I really liked Jason Stathams version of "The Mechanic"... so redoing Death Wish was just a natural progression... I dunno,... maybe they should have stuck with Statham redoing Bronson?

Nah. I think what I love about the original Death Wish is that Bronson just looked like a schlub... not some killing machine. So, when he went gonzo, it felt more regular guy goes nuts. Neither Willis or Statham can do that anymore.

Trying to think who’d be the perfect schlub to do this you wouldn’t see coming. Giammati wouldn’t quite be right. Let me think on it.

I think people are overlooking the fact that this is directed by Eli Roth, one of the biggest hacks in Hollywood.
