Initially was a fan. Now I hate them. Saw a high school kid spin around and throw one on someone's lawn the other day. (Almost called the cops.) Also, I'm on a neighborhood website and one of the members has complained about people just leaving the bikes in the middle of the sidewalk. He's in a motorized wheelchair and can't get around them.

Am waiting for someone to leave one on our property someday.

FWIW, Scottsdale has a free bike program where residents can work a few hours and earn a bike.

Just an FYI - the motorized wheelchair guy was there as well. He's also the guy that shot and killed the guy over at the Skate Park last year. Personally, the more bikes blocking that creep, the better. I am still pissed he's not in jail.

Highlight of the night was during open forum, when an old Jewish lady complained that she was blinded by lasers from the self-driving test cars, and now has to wear magnets in her clothes to be able to go outside.

Are we sure it's the same guy? We've got a bunch of people that go by our house in motorized wheelchairs.

In any case, that guy should be in prison for sure.

She sounds crazy, but what does her being Jewish have to do with anything?

Because that is how she introduced herself - as an old Jewish lady whose parents survived the Holocaust.

    I did. Nice!

I'm not sure I understand the system. People pay to rent the bikes and leave them in random locations when they're done?
