For Greg Monroe and a 1st round pick
Hmmm. I am guessing the pick will be heavily protected
If it is, the Suns were not only taken to the woodshed on this trade but the woodshed was burned down with us inside it.
1580 The Fan saying Suns are not happy with Chriss' development? Hmm.
It would not be the first time this front office has been taken to the woodshed. E.x. The Brandon Knight trade.
Ha. 98.7 spinning NBA writers claiming this a great trade for suns.
This is only a great trade if McD included himself in the package to the Bucks.
Man I don’t know what everyone was expecting. Bledsoe isn’t that valued around the league. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him not starting in Milwaukee by year’s end unless he buys into Kidd’s demand that he play defense full time again. The Bucks are a good fit as they have ball movers and so bledsoe doesn’t have to be a primary distributor.
The more worrisome part for me is that Monroe also doesn’t fit the timeline but he’s a better big than we have and he’ll help march us towards 30-35 win mediocrity. He’s also not a long term we so he just weakens our draft pick on a rental. Meh.
So everything hinges on mcd’s ability to spin gold outta the pick.
Bledsoe has far more value than a 6ppg post player and a pick in the 25 range.

So there it is. Suns also get a second round pick.
That's less than Gortat on an expiring deal or Markieff Morris or Dragic with 3 months left on his contract did net for the Suns.
If that's the return for the Suns, it's indeed the crowning of the moronic approach of McD (and probably or firstly Sarver) that thought that rebuilding was more or less over and started with the Knight-trade.

Right. Monroe has averaged 18.7 points per 36 over the past 3 seasons, so that’s scoring that the Suns haven’t had in the post.

As for Suns, if Monroe stays, he's more than a throw-in. Last three years PER > 21.0, which Suns haven't had since Dragic in 2013-14.

Remember that time the Suns had Bledsoe, IT3 , and Dragic on the roster? Peppridge Farm remembers.
Monroe is just a huge, huge expiring.
Not sure what everyone was expecting. I would have liked to get more, but I knew that to get more, we would have to give more (picks, players). This is about what I expected to get for just Bledsoe.
