You are Now Leaving Fantasyland and Entering Realityland

Date October 19, 2007

Living near Disney World, that’s a fairly easy thing to do. For most Arizona Cardinal fans the trip may be a little more difficult. Contrary to some naysayers, the trip will not be wholly unpleasant. It’s just that facing reality often hurts a little.
ike the last few seasons, the Cards are a team of potential [...]

Injured players return to practice

Date October 19, 2007

Yesterday was good news all-around for the Arizona Cardinals, who had a few players return to practice and others feeling better, according to Darren Urban.
Levi Brown practiced fully, which doesn’t mean he’ll play this Sunday, but it sure is a great sign that his return will be soon. The offensive line could use his blocking, [...]

Kurt Warner hopes his arm stays attached

Date October 18, 2007

On the way into work this morning, I of course was listening to Doug and Wolf on KTAR, when the news came on to report about Kurt Warner’s status for Sunday.
They played a sound bite of him from after practice yesterday basically stating that the team is looking for the best brace for his elbow in order to help [...]

FSN Arizona television happenings

Date October 17, 2007

I cannot wait until most of FSN AZ’s broadcasts are in high-definition someday, or when Direct TV actually makes it available to us subscribers. As high-def grows, more and more sporting events will be captured in this awesome new  media and we’ll all benefit from the clarity and vibrant new picture.
Regardless of my infatuation with [...]

Torn ligaments confirmed, but now Kurt Warner may play Sunday?

Date October 16, 2007

Poor Darren Urban over at the official Arizona Cardinals site keeps getting mixed signals. First ESPN reports that Warner will only miss a week, but no one in Cards camp has told Urban that.
Then the MRI reveals that he did indeed tear ligaments in his elbow and will miss next week and then be week-to-week [...]

My Uncle Vinny

Date October 15, 2007

The Cardinals lost to the Panthers 25-10. They lost Kurt Warner early, but battled bravely and still held on to a precarious one point lead well into the fourth quarter. And then the wheels fell off, leaving Cardinal fans wondering whether the outcome of this game actually was decided earlier in the week when the [...]

Kurt Warner to miss one week? Anquan Boldin returns

Date October 15, 2007

According to KFFL.com, ESPNews reported that Kurt Warner is expected to only miss one week with his injured elbow. The Cardinals face Washington on Sunday, but then have a bye week which is obviously good for healing up the injury.
The problem though is that according to Darren Urban, who I would trust over ESPN and [...]

Arizona Cardinals lose Warner, game to Carolina 25-10

Date October 14, 2007

The only luck the Arizona Cardinals ever get is bad luck.
First Matt Leinart goes down, and now Kurt Warner. I was sure that Jeremy Urban was going to play some quarterback once Tim Rattay entered the game.
That’s just the way things go when you are an Arizona fan. The team gets to 3-2 and is [...]

Kurt Warner out; Tim Rattay in

Date October 14, 2007

Kurt Warner has already been knocked out of the game, injuring his elbow under the massive frame of Julius Peppers. Luckily it was his non-throwing elbow and the diagnosis was “strained.”
The injury looked pretty awful as his elbow totally bent the wrong way…it could have been worse.
Tim Rattay is in after signing just a few [...]
