Roger Clyne pumps up Dbacks fans
October 2, 2007 by Mike Olbinski
If you haven’t heard Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, then you are missing a great band born out of Arizona, much like the Gin Blossoms. Clyne was also the frontliner/writer for The Refreshments from the 90’s, who had a great little tune called “The World is Full of Stupid People“ “Banditos“. Only a band like The Refreshments could get the name Jean-Luc Picard into a rock song.
The Arizona Diamondbacks loved the Peacemakers, who performed a post-game concert in July. They also wanted a Chicago Cubs-like team song, so they called up Roger Clyne.
Clyne was happy to do it and came up with a toe-tapping rendition called “D-Backs Swing”, which debuted in September. The song is usually played after the third inning and at the end of the game if Arizona wins.
If the Diamondbacks go deep into the playoffs, Clyne has even said he’ll change his schedule to play it live at the ballpark.
You can watch the music video for the song and read the whole story on AZCentral.com .

I thought the song was called “Banditos”.
I think you are right…good call. I just never remember it that way
I’ll make an edit.
Just don’t let it happen again.
Did the Refreshments do the “King of the Hill” theme song, as well?
Yes they did….they have a great sound.
