Kurt Warner to miss one week? Anquan Boldin returns

Date October 15, 2007 by Mike Olbinski

Kurt WarnerAccording to KFFL.com, ESPNews reported that Kurt Warner is expected to only miss one week with his injured elbow. The Cardinals face Washington on Sunday, but then have a bye week which is obviously good for healing up the injury.

The problem though is that according to Darren Urban, who I would trust over ESPN and KFFL, there has been no official word from Ken Whisenhunt on Warner. He speculates that it should state “at least one week” and that only missing a single game is “presumptuous.”

Urban went on to say that barring any setbacks, Anquan Boldin will practice this week and play next Sunday. This will be great news for Tim Rattay, who will have a full set of receivers at his fingertips.

Boldin is also huge in other areas, like reverses and other direct-snap plays, so adding him back into the mix should help Rattay feel more comfortable.

Linebacker Karlos Dansby could also miss a game due to a knee sprain.

Also the rumor we posted about Tim Hasslebeck is true and he’ll be signed within the coming days.

Without Warner playing, that makes a quarterback rotation of Tim Rattay, Tim Hasslebeck and Anquan Boldin.

Who would have thunk?

I think picking up Rattay was a good pickup. I can’t believe he was available. There are so many lousy quarterbacks and he has a good arm and experience.
I think Warner will start and Rattay will sit. Which is good because he needs to study the playbook. We outmatch the Redskins and I expect us to win.

The Redskins scare me for some reason…I hope you’re right.
