Injured players return to practice
October 19, 2007 by Mike Olbinski
Yesterday was good news all-around for the Arizona Cardinals, who had a few players return to practice and others feeling better, according to Darren Urban.
Levi Brown practiced fully, which doesn’t mean he’ll play this Sunday, but it sure is a great sign that his return will be soon. The offensive line could use his blocking, both for running and pass protection.
Adrian Wilson also tried to make a go of it, after sitting out Wednesday. He was limited, but still did some work. Not having him in the lineup this weekend would be horrible. Did anyone see him run down Deangelo Williams last week? Holy crap.
Urban wrote that Kurt Warner felt much better this time out than he did on Wednesday and found a brace that works for him. Michael Jurecki this morning on Xtra 910 said the brace only gives him 30 degrees of movement.
The real challenge will be in handing the ball off to Edgerrin James or whoever is in there, especially on his right side. Usually you push the ball into the runner with the opposite hand, so any impact or jarring on that arm would be extremely painful.
There is no word yet really on whether he’ll start or even play, but they expect it to be a game-time decision.
