No fine for Adrian Wilson
September 28, 2007 by Mike Olbinski
I guess there is some justice in the world, no matter how small or meaningless it is now.
A 15-yard uncessary roughness penalty last week against Adrian Wilson put the Ravens deep into Cardinals’ territory and essentially gave them great field goal position.
It was a horrible call on a solid hit from Wilson. Ray Lewis ripped Leonard Pope’s head off earlier, flexed his biceps and got nothing for it.
Such is life as a Cardinals player and fan. No respect, even for arguably one of the best safeties in the game.
Well, apparently that penalty was a bad call, because Darren Urban is reporting that no fine was handed down to Wilson, which essentially means that the league didn’t see anything wrong with the hit.
Doesn’t do us much good a week and a loss later, but it’s something.
