Marion would welcome trade to Lakers

Date September 26, 2007 by Mike Olbinski

Sean Deveney at The Sporting News published an article late yesterday as an exclusive stating that Shawn Marion would welcome a trade to the L.A. Lakers. Deveney asked Marion if he would be enthusiastic about the trade and this was the response:

“Why wouldn’t I be?” he said. “You have a great organization, great ownership there with the Lakers. I don’t see no problems with playing there.”

As I posted yesterday, it’s looking more and more like Marion is gone. How can he suit up and play for a team that has been trying to trade him, and how can the Suns play a guy who would welcome a trade?

Read the rest of Deveney’s article for more.
