Cardinals’ 53 Man Roster Prediction III
August 18, 2007 by Walter Mitchell
The Cardinals need to trade for a starting linebacker to fill Chike Okeafor’s void, and scour the waiver wires for a pass rusher and another cover corner/nickel back type. This current roster is so unsettled that as many as 40 of the players could well be on the bubble. Case in point: S Hanik Milligan, who needs to start showing why (as he did last year) he is well worth a roster spot as a special teamer. Thus far in two pre-season games, Milligan has not made an impact on special teams and does not figure into the team’s plans as a backup strong safety. That puts him squarely on the bubble.Â

Togafau is as close to a lock as possible….he is beating out Beisel and Davis for playing time.
as for Castille, he has has some speed, and soft hands as evidenced in that 22 yard catch and run…I hope he makes it as well
at this point Bienemann makes it as a #3 just for the sheer reality that he’s been on the field more than Euhus….if they pick up a blocking TE on waivers, he’ll be gone
I agree with almost all of your players, and agree with every bubble player except for Pago, Brian Johnson, Lyle Sendlein, and Hulk Hogan.
when players are released, I could see any of those others on your list being replaced
in fact, I’d much rather have them put a guy like Ken Dorsey on the PS (assuming he’s cut by Cleveland). he’s still eligible, and he’d be much more of a leader than Boyd or Korrodi, and the possible successor to Kurt.
Pace just looks totally out of place at LB. If he can be adequately replaced in early September, I wouldn’t mind him getting the boot.
but they have to be looking hard at the wire looking for any help they can get at LB
Not bad, with a few I disagree with.
1. Antrel Rolle may very well be cut.
2. Pace and/or Blackstock are on their way out of football. One or both will not be on our roster by the end of pre-seaon.
3. Wr Bryant Johnson is on the bubble, big time.
1. I can’t imagine Rolle being cut.
2. Who would fill their shoes? Our LB’s are a mess.
3. Bryant Johnson will have his best year as a pro…in a Cardinal uniform.
