More Garnett News

If there was anything to make us poor Suns fans forget about the playoffs, this week was it.
Marc Stein is reporting today that Kevin Garnett nixed a deal that would have sent him to Boston. The report went on to say he wants to play for the…
PHOENIX SUNS
That’s right. Apparently he and our little Stevie Nash are best buds since 2005 and The Big Ticket wants to cash his in for a one-way to the Valley of the Suns.
Now, the downside is that Minnesota apparently wont do it without getting Amare Stoudemire. That would make the trade totally pointless for the Suns. Kevin Garnett would make a great deal of sense in a nucleus with Nash and Amare, but not replacing him.
Anyone else is fair game. Trade them Marion and Barbosa. I love them both like they are family members, but I want to win that title.
Stein reports that the Suns will try their hardest to get some kind of offer done before the draft a week from now. He also said Marion has already been heard saying he doesn’t want to play for the T-Wolves or Celtics, so it may be hard to deal him to them since he can opt-out next offseason.
Still, I’m giddy here. If the Suns can pull off some magic that doesn’t involve Nash or Amare, the Suns will be an imposing, dominating force that would be far and away the favorite heading into the season.
You add in Grant Hill for the minimum and Raja’s defense and that is a sickening starting-five.
